Three Giants at Dusk

Spending a few summer nights around Tre Cime di Lavaredo was one of the highlights of my road trip. On this evening, the three towering peaks looked especially impressive as the setting sun lit them up and a soft arch of clouds formed above. I was actually hoping to shoot the Milky Way later, but the weather had other plans. As soon as the sun disappeared, thick fog rolled in and covered everything, turning the hike back into a small adventure. This photograph captures those final calm moments before the mountains vanished into the mist.
